NECO has released the results for the 2023 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination. The registrar, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, announced that 61.60% of candidates achieved five credits and above, including English and Mathematics.
Registrar Wushishi reported that 61.60% of candidates scored five credits and above in English and Mathematics. The examinations had a total of 1,196,985 candidates, with 616,398 males and 580,587 females.
Wushishi revealed that 93 schools engaged in mass cheating, with 52 supervisors facing blacklisting for poor supervision and aiding during the exams. Appropriate sanctions will be applied to the implicated schools after discussions with the Council.
